My story, my vision and my goals

About Me

My name is Ondrej and I am from the Czech Republic. All my life I have lived in close proximity to nature. I have always spent most of my free time in nature. My hobby is rock climbing in our country in the Czech Republic but also abroad.
I have been actively involved in helping nature for a long time, but always only at the local level. Now I have finally found a way to get involved on a global scale as well. The situation in the world is becoming serious and the help of even a single person is counting.

My Vision

In 2016, I was introduced to projects to restore rainforests and reforest in various parts of the world. These are places where industrial mining has irreversibly changed the profile and face of the landscape as it has been for thousands of years. These areas are usually among the poorest in the world. Local governments are thus giving the green light to “brutal” mining in order to increase profits. But this solution is very short-sighted. Mining will give the local population a short-term job, but once it is completed, many livelihoods for the population in such a devastated landscape will quickly disappear.
But the most fundamental problem is that forests of any kind provide a home to millions of species of animals. Forests retain water in the soil, purify the air, lower the ambient temperature and provide a considerable amount of substances for the production of medicines. In the forest affected in this way, any biodiversity disappears. In nature, everything depends on everything. With one disappearing part, everything else disappears or everything else changes. This is an ecosystem!

We can take tropical rainforests as an example. Tropical rainforests are also called “the world’s largest pharmacy.” The local flora provides the basic ingredients for half of the drugs produced. Scientific research in these places is still ongoing, and not all of them have been discovered.
The biodiversity of rainforests is truly unimaginable.
An ecosystem of such dimensions acts very stably and resistant to disturbance. Bare places that appear in the rainforest for whatever reason, very quickly and easily overgrow new vegetation. If the forest is affected by such massive human activity, as it happens every day, the soil loses value very quickly due to erosion, water loss and contact with the original forest. Natural regeneration of the forest is almost impossible in a man-destroyed place. Natural regeneration takes centuries to millennia.

This project seeks to partially afforest already felled areas where trees could grow again. To restore the original face of nature and give a happy life and a promising future to its inhabitants. You may be thinking that you have already seen this concept of help. Yes, it is true that it is not new. I think it doesn’t matter what organization you get involved in, the main thing is that you get involved.

How does it work?

By purchasing any product, you will contribute to 4HealthyNature to plant one tree. You will receive a certification card with the goods of your choice by post. All goods are made of natural and carefully processed materials. The packaging is handmade from recycled materials to reduce the carbon footprint.

This project does not aim to make money and it is not even possible. The price of the goods is symbolic and corresponds to the cost of planting one tree and the cost of production and postage. The 4HealthyNature project gives you the opportunity to easily get involved in regenerating our forests around the planet.

Handmade goods serve as a reminder of goodwill directly to you or to someone close to you.

It’s the little things that citizens do. That’s what will make the difference. My little thing is planting trees.
